We love heading out for dinner with our children - it's one of the things I really enjoy and one that personally I put as a massive necessary skill that the children need to learn. I was lucky enough growing up that we dined out a lot and it's a real pleasure to go out for dinner and would love for the children to get the same pleasure from dining out that Webbo and I get. We love trying new and old restaurants and generally the boys are really very good in restaurants so we never have the dread of dining out with them.
We were contacted by Bill's Restaurants to see if we wanted to put their menu through its paces which we jumped at the chance at! We are big fans of Bill's so the opportunity to take the kids out for dinner a couple of times was really fab.
They have a number of restaurants locally to us including, Epsom, Guildford, Wimbledon, and our favourite branch, Kingston. The Kingston branch is located on what we call the "Kingston Southbank" but it's basically on the river just before John Lewis. The restaurant opens from 9 till late during the day so is the perfect spot for pre-shopping breakfast through to cocktails and date night when the sun goes down. The staff in all the restaurants we have tried have been so friendly and welcoming and have made a real effort with the boys which makes for a much more relaxing dining experience.

What I particularly love about Bill's is the kids menu and I recently shared my love of the kids menu over on my Instagram page recently and it appears we are not alone - quite a lot of you do too. The menu is incredibly well priced at £6.95 which includes a drink, starter, main course and pudding. Where I think Bill's could take their children's dining experience to the next level is to maybe provide some crayons and paper - it's great taking the kids out but they can get bored (we always take busy bags with us) so by providing colouring for them would most definitely alleviate this.

The kids menu has a variety of options including the ever popular hamburger through to steak and chips for the more sophisticated diner!
Now, we have given the menu a proper look over and we have selected some dishes that next time you go you simply must try! From the starters we loved the calamari (a personal fav of the boys), the crumbed halloumi sticks were to die for and I really had a soft spot for their sausages with honey and mustard! For main, for me it had to be the Bill's burger with added cheese, bacon and guacamole - see ya later diet!!

All mains are hearty portions so one certainly won't leave feeling hungry. Now, on to puddings. The cheesecake was amazing but for me it had to be the sugared cinnamon donuts!! These little balls of sweet cinnamon happiness come accompanied with two dipping sauces, chocolate and salted caramel and a few strawberries (you know for meal balance!). These for me were the perfect end to three courses - not to heavy but sweet enough to hit the spot!! Charlie had the chocolate brownie milkshake which was bigger than his head and he managed to polish off! Tom had a slurp and said it was amazing so those two would definitely recommend trying one of the milkshakes!

Bill's really is a great all round family friendly restaurant but it's also one that morphs into a cool yet smooth location for a date night as they dim the lights and light the candles. We were fans of Bill's before we reviewed for them and if anything are even bigger fans of them now. If you haven't visited your local Bill's restaurant I urge you to visit next time you dine out.

This is a collaborative post with Bill's Restaurant and we were gifted a food card for the purpose of this review but all views are my own.
Lovely establishment. But bill, if I’m honest, struck me as a bit of a lothario/ladies Man. Not sure if I trust the guy. The the olives! SEEEN-SATIONAL!!!’
