Dish, Hampton Court Bridge....review

Writer: This Surrey MummyThis Surrey Mummy

There is nothing we love more than a good old dog walk followed by somewhere warm, friendly, welcoming for a bite to eat and a hot drink.

For many years we've been walking Buddy in Hurst Park (just up from Hampton Court) and 9/10 we always end up in Dish a very cute family run cafe right on Hampton Court Bridge.

Being dog friendly and child friendly is somewhere that instantly appeals to us. Throw in some pancakes and a cracking full English and you are on to a winner.

This little (well quite big inside actually) cafe still has the friendly owner and staff but has been totally refurbed to give a welcoming yet weirdly edgy vibe - plus a few bubblegum pink walls for good measure!

This morning to kick start the second half of half term we headed there post dog walk for brunch.

It was knocking on lunch time by the time we arrived so I opted for a jacket potato with cheese and beans (an old favourite of mine!), my mum went for Eggs Benedict (she's pretty predictable when it come to breakfast!) and the boys managed to wolf down two huge plates of pancakes stacked with bacon, maple syrup and fruit. As always, despite its new look, the food is just as good as it's always been and the staff as always super friendly and welcoming.

This local haunt attracts a huge spectrum of fans including cyclists, families, couples and not forgetting dog walkers and also has a large outside seating area to the rear.

Thanks to the guys at Dish for inviting us down we will see you very soon!
